Job Position - Assistant Corporate Controller Americas Region

Reports to - USA CFO and Corporate CFO (Headquarted in Denmark)

Department - Group Finance

Location - US East Coast base with International influence





Job Summary

The Assistant Corporate Controller will be responsible for the coordination of internal and significant portion of external reporting functions related to actual performance up to and including year-end financial audits.  This position has further supervisory responsibility for the Finance team in the US. The position is expected to develop and update company policies and procedures of the CIT North American and South American offices and to evaluate conformance with said procedures.  Columbus IT currently runs 7 offices in the United States and 4 offices in South American countries; Brazil, Chile, Columbia and Costa Rica.

Duties & Responsibilities

· Duties & Responsibilities encompass both the North American & South American offices of Columbus IT – roughly 30-40% of time will be spent overseeing below duties for South American offices, 60-70% time spent on US functional activities

· Functional duties will be full time for North American region whereas the position will simply be overseeing the South American offices procedures and ensuring compliance with corporate policy

· Financial Reporting (North & South American offices), analysis of results to plan, short term forecasts, key business metrics and corporate G/L analysis

· Directs Month-end, Quarter-End & Year-End financial closings and assists with preparation of financial statements and analysis for both North and South American Offices

· This position will directly interact with department heads both nationally and internationally, other vice presidents, the national CFO, corporate CFO and CEOs on a regular basis

· Supports the Corporate Controller & CFO in financial policy development and implementation for North and South American offices

· Coordination of technical accounting issues with business units in North and South America

· Liaison with auditors on annual audit and tax compliance

· Assist with tax compliance and tax planning as well as 1099 reporting

· Conducts monthly reviews & analysis of financial results

· Coordinates internal controls to optimize efficiency and provide effective controls of financial transactions

· Ensures business processes are fully compliant with US GAAP regulations, corporate policies and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements

· Coordinates all audit work requirements for financial statements and statement audits

Involved in special projects including assistance on due diligence of acquisitions in both North American and South American region





Credentials & Experience

· Degree in Business or Economics a must

· CPA highly preferred

· 7+ years of diverse financial experience in both public and private accounting environments with proven abilities to manage change in general accounting, cost accounting, budgeting, financial analysis and employee administration

· 5+ years working with Financial Statements & Audit requirements

· 3+ years desired in accounting management

· Strong experience with Global Corporations

· Experience with International Accounting policies and procedures desired

· Hands-on experience with ERP systems

· Detail oriented, strong quantitative and analytical skills

· Fluent in US GAAP reporting & Sarbanes-Oxley requirements

· Fluent in English, verbal and written

· Strong leadership skills in setting and following through on priorities and deadlines

· Excellent organizational skills with the ability to establish priorities and work independantly

· Strong interpersonal skills

· Strong customer service skills





Special Requirements

· Willing to work overtime as needed

· International travel will be required

· Must be able to work in the United States and have a valid passport

Bilingual candidates highly desired – fluency in Spanish recommended
