Applications Reporting Developer

Summary:


Partners with all levels to collect, evaluate, and prepare data relating to current Applications Systems. Prepares automated and narrative reports and recommendations, and participates in the analysis and interpretation of data as appropriate. Develops, maintains, and ensures quality control of databases and may assist in development and implementation of application systems.

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Work with internal associates to identify business challenges and opportunities for improvement.
2. Develop work plans for assigned projects.
3. New and existing software maintenance.
4. Translate requirements into programming specifications.
5. Code and test program changes, created or installed.
6. Review project requests and recommends action to be taken.
7. Assist in training new associates both within department and within business units.
8. Complete all required documentation to meet department standards.
9. Perform the role of project leader when needed.
10. Interface with external customers whenever needed.
11. Adhere to privacy and confidential and proprietary company policies and procedures (i.e. HIPAA).
12. Participate in any/all training and educational activities necessary to fulfill at least the minimum requirements as specified within your departmental goals. This is in addition to, the completion of any activities necessary for the maintenance of professional affiliations or organizational requirements.
13. Diligently maintain the cleanliness of all equipment, workstations and the overall facility on a daily basis.
14. As required by changing business needs, complete additional responsibilities as assigned.


Education:


· Associates Degree or equivalent; plus two years relevant experience preferred.

Experience & Background:


· Experience with report writing software, specifically Crystal Reports
· Knowledge of data base methodology, principles and procedures.
· Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications.
· Comprehensive experience with Microsoft Tool Sets including Excel, Word, Access, Visual Basic.
· Experience with reporting in the health care industry a plus
· Evaluation of business requirements, end user reporting support
· Specification and documentation written skills
· Design and production of computerized data queries and reports..
· Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
