Application Support Specialist

REQUIRED

1-2 years SQL/Oracle experience

Ability to write SQL queries

NOT a DBA/DB Designer (more junior)

Very computer literate:

 

- Computer Science Major - OR - several years help desk experience - OR - entry-level programmer

Strong people skills/professional appearance (performs onsite installation for clients)

Willing to travel (~1 week/quarter)

 

DESIRED

Programming experience a plus

Experience developing forms a plus



 

Job Description:Manage installation and on-going maintenance of software, including routine data updates. Answer and log customer calls, identify problems, provide long-term solutions regarding software operations.Provide software configuration and tailoring to fit customer implementation.Systems testing of new releases of applications.Reproduce customer issues and document cases for development. Review, update, and document existing systems and technical requirements Be organized, punctual, and show a clear understanding to how to prioritize tasks and responsibilities

 Requirements:Technical aptitude to develop a knowledge of databases and software systems Experience with Oracle and / or SQL-Server; strong SQL skills a plus Excellent communications skills Technical Writing Skills Willingness to travel (25%) Experience with MS Office products

 Helpful Skills:Retail experience Technical call support experiance
