Manager, Application Design and Development
Responsible for managing resources in designing, implementing and supporting applications, systems and IT products required to enable clients business objectives in Supply Chain processes. Requires knowledge of IT project & program management methodologies and software development lifecycle principles Advises on resource planning and organizational staffing Executes co-sourcing, recruiting, and contracting resource plans Requires familiarity with configuration of business applications Oversees the mapping of business requirements to product/package/application in the Supply Chain area. Manages teams in basic system integration as related to acquisitions and legacy systems. Assists in gathering business requirements and oversight to creation of functional specifications, technical specifications with team developers and contractors. Develops program specifications and estimates for business relevant IT strategies PMO Works with business partners to develop and evaluate business cases for potential IT solutions to business challenges Leads business process definition and documentation with internal customers and business partners. Assists colleagues in providing counsel to others on complex issues.Evaluates technical designs for functional integrity Supervises user-experience prototyping to validate requirements and to identify additional requirements Supports the implementation process by designing and executing resource plans Ensures a seamless transition from Build team to Run/Support team post implementationBachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Math or related field.7+ years of progressively responsible experience in IT or functional area management.Coursework or industry experience must include exposure to the following areas/technologiesSAP implementation and upgrade experience SAP Supply Chain functional and technical knowledgeBusiness intelligence and XI experience a plusStrong systems development life cycle experience, from requirements definition analysis, design, programming and testing through implementation and KAPExperience managing offshore or remote resources, distributed project teams
