Application Developer- Contract
Location: Beverly, MA 01915 Employment Type: Full Time, Temporary/Contract/Project Pay Rate: 30.00 - 40.00 USD /hour Reference Code: 1001140279 Our client is a rapidly growing firm that integrates computer-telephony with state of the art speech recognition, deploying this technology within the healthcare industry.They are in search of an Application Developer for a 6-month position. Position: Application Developer Responsibilities:· Application requirements analysis and documentation· Designing, coding, unit testing, and supporting our speech enabled applications· Monitoring of quality control process· Management of applications in a production environment· Generating reports of application and linguistic data· Collaborating with marketing and account management staff on ideas for new applications· Supporting researchers, system engineers, and other application developers on various projects, as required. Qualification: · Minimum of a bachelor's degree in computer science, cognitive science, or a related field· 0-2 years programming experience preferably including scripting languages such as JScript, Windows application development, Object-Oriented concepts, Microsoft SQL Server programming, and XML technologies· Strong analytical and logical thinking applied with an excellent attention to detail· Ability to deliver high quality applications on schedule within a rapid development cycle· Intellectual curiosity and creativity· Personal characteristics that demonstrate initiative and focus on achievement/results· Strong communication skills and the ability to excel in a highly collaborative, team environment· Experience and/or interest with linguistics, phonetics, speech recognition and foreign languages welcome, but not required If you are interested in this opportunity, please send us your resume with a cover letter attached in Word format.
