Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

P2 Solutions Group is currently looking for an SDET with a proven track record of anticipating and identifying strategic and technical issues before they become a problem, critiquing requirements and functional design, generating test cases from customer scenarios and writing test automation for various components in both kernel and user modes.   Proven expertise in C++ and the Windows API as well as solid understanding of Windows internals are required. 

 

As a P2 SDET, you will work with our customers to ensure their products are delivered to market with high quality.   Your initial engagement will be working with the Microsoft Anti-Malware team in Redmond, WA which provides the core antimalware detection, cleaning, and recovery technologies to hundreds of millions of customers across a broad range of applications and partners including Windows Defender, OneCare, Antigen, Forefront, IE, Office, and Windows Live Mail.

 Job Responsibilities:

 

·          Strong individual contributor

·          Gather user scenario requirements as necessary from senior technical management and business stakeholders

·          Generate test plans and test cases from customer and end user scenarios

·          Execute against test cases and log results in Product Studio, using both manual and automated test approaches

·          Write test automation as needed in both kernel and user modes

·          Own feature quality from start to project finish in collaboration with Test peers and feature owner

·          Work with cross-functional software development team as Test project team memberRequirements:

 

·          Solid functional test experience

·          Ability to create Test Plan and Test Cases

·          Strong proficiency in C/C++/C#, and Windows OS internals

·          Strong coding and debugging skills

·          Experience with Windows debugging (windbg/ntsd/kd) are definite pluses.

·          Ability to develop, design and implement automation frameworks

·          5 years experience participating throughout the entire software development process including requirements gathering and analysis, design with usability and accessibility, release and version control, testing methodologies and deployment management, debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving defects

·          Excellent collaborative skills

·          Ability to drive assigned tasks to completion with minimal supervision

·          The ability to work in a team environment and lead by example as well a successful history in coming up with innovative solutions are real pluses. 

·          Knowledge of algorithms, general networking or security background.

·          BA/BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
