Microsoft Functional Analyst

CGI has just won a major development project of a critical Web application for a client in the financial sector. The Microsoft CoE at the heart of the project is seeking a dynamic and talented functional analyst to support the project team in defining and modeling systems.
The candidate selected for this position will perform the duties of Microsoft Solutions Functional Analyst.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Researching, analyzing and documenting statements of business requirements to develop systems with medium to high levels of complexity;
- Leading the requirement gathering interviews and working with business line representatives to generate a consensus on requirements and Web application specifications;
- Diagnosing and recommending solutions to the client’s problems;
- Producing functional analysis records;
- Supervising and coaching a team of analysts and providing quality assurance for analysis deliverables;
- Acting as a liaison between the technical and business resources for the client and within CGI project teams;
- Acting as a functional specifications expert for development projects, when required;
- Contributing to the preparation of service proposals, when required.

REQUIREMENT
- Minimum of seven years of demonstrated experience in functional analysis in development environments and information system maintenance;
- Demonstrating relevant experience in medium to large-scope projects using Microsoft technologies such as .NET and ASP.NET;
- Basic knowledge of SQL language and the ability to draft SQL queries and specification documents for reporting are assets;
- Knowledge of techniques and approaches used to document business needs (use cases, UML, modeling, etc.);
- More than two years of consulting experience (a major asset).
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, software engineering or a related field
- Understanding development approaches in agile mode
- Ability to quickly understand complex business sectors
- Participate in test strategies and scenarios
- Support users through implementation and post-implementation processes
- Be recognized for producing quality work
- Organized with good work practices
- Autonomous
- Value collaboration and team work
- Negotiation and diplomacy skills
- Excellent knowledge of English and French, both written and spoken. Experience editing functional documents in English is mandatory.
