Analyst/ Programmer

For 23 years, Casco Development has been a leading developer of Shop Floor Data Collection and Control software with offices overlooking Casco Bay in Portland.  We have an immediate opening for an Analyst/ Programmer.

 

You are a self-starter who loves to take things apart and learn how they work.  You have a passion for programming and problem solving along with a strong work ethic and a meticulous attention to detail.  After mastering our ShopVue product and its configurability, you will work with our Professional Services Group to support our clients and the Casco team through the 12-week implementation of our ShopVue system. 

 

In this position, you will:

Analyze—Examine customer’s business and technical requirements.

Design—Work closely with project lead and client to translate customer requirements into business software solutions.

Code—Work independently to deliver customization as specified and on time. 

Test—Use Casco’s QA Lab and test protocols to ensure product functions as specified.

Document—Produce documentation and functional specifications to define product use, configuration, and customizations.

 

You will also provide hands-on installation of software and training at customer sites and assist customers in developing business scenarios where ShopVue software will be used.

 

Requirements:

· Bachelors degree

· 2+ years experience in programming with Visual Basic, .NET or client-server applications

· Skilled in analyzing and documenting business requirements and corresponding solution specifications

· Experience with designing and building interfaces to and from Enterprise systems and Payroll/HR systems

· Solid understanding of basic networking and remote connectivity tools

· Ability to work with minimal direct supervision

· Travel 25%
