This position requires an individual to have a technical background and the ability thrive and shine in a dynamic lean and agile fast paced environment.  For more about Symplified, check out http://symplified.com/jobs/  Agile Software Engineer The Agile Software Engineer will contribute to the development of a next generation web security system at a fast paced startup based in downtown Boulder, CO. The Agile  Software Engineer will report directly to the VP of Engineering and participate in all phases of development – including technical design, implementation, and quality assurance. The team will employ the “Agile with Scrumâ€� development methodology. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing enterprise-class security software products. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry level engineer to develop his/her skills working with a proven team to develop a cutting edge technology. Responsibilities • Design Elaboration: Work with Technical Leads and the Technical Product Manager to elaborate technical requirements and evaluate alternatives. • Development: Participate in the implementation of the system. Estimation, detailed design, coding, and unit testing. • Quality Assurance: Work with the SQA lead to ensure proper testing coverage. Ensure that developers are following coding conventions, source control techniques, and unit testing standards. Qualifications • Advanced Java development skills• 2+ years of experience developing web-based applications • 1+ years experience with XML • Dedicated individual who will work very hard to meet the commitments he/she makes. • Strong understanding of object oriented design principles • Strong analytical and communication skills • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering (or equivalent experience)• Experience with web access control or security software a plus.• Linux development experience a plus.For more about Symplified, check out http://www.symplified.com/index.php?page=Overview-About-Symplified
