Adobe Flash Developer - Contract

 

A Fortune 500 company in downtown Atlanta is currently seeking an experienced Flash developer to help lead development of a music mixer for their online multiplayer gaming environment.

The role incorporates the full lifecycle of online Flash game development, working with the business and marketing teams to create a shared vision of the free-to-play entertainment experience.  It includes the creation, development, testing and launch of new and extension of existing game and music mixer concepts and mechanics (largely in Flash).

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of six years Flash experience, two years of online game development experience, with multiple launched online game titles to his/her credit, and will be excited for the opportunity to develop and extend the online games/music entertainment as seen on our existing heavily viewed, free-to-play entertainment web sites.


Primary Responsibilities

- Lead the creative and technical development of Flash-based online games/music
- Working with the marketing, advertising, and business team members create and extend our catalog of free-to-play Flash games/music
- Create and evolve game design concepts, game specifications, then develop those games/music in Flash
- Support QA in testing functionality, performance, and failure modes
- Update requirements, bug, and problem databases
- Support Operations as required in instrumentation of games/music and components
- Work effectively with co-workers, customers and others by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner
- Other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Experience

- 5+ years online game development with heavy emphasis on music
- Experience with Adobe Flash and Flash development environments
- Functional knowledge of web interfaces and technologies
- Proven experience contributing to the full lifecycle of online game development (concept/design, game spec, development, testing, launch, support)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented development environment
