Account Manager

Account Manager
As a part of the Business Development team, the Account Manager supports the development, retention and profitable growth of the business. This position plans and conducts customer relationship management and sales expansion. The Account Manager acts as the day-to-day liaison to assigned clients and serves as a conduit for multiple levels of client relationships including: client communications, project coordination, contract renewals, customer feedback/complaints, and quality checks.
Responsibilities:
· Supports the overall strategic sales effort by nurturing and expanding existing client relationships to promote Burgess products and services within assigned accounts.
· Conducts ongoing research and information gathering to understand client and prospect organizational structure; business climate changes/stresses; buyer, influencer, technical area and end-user business requirements; competitive positioning. Research is used for expansion and quality check services in addition to providing monthly updates to Solutions and Marketing on the status of each account.
· Works closely with Solutions and Marketing to build, execute and maintain account management and sales strategies for all clients. Gathers quantitative and qualitative data from buyers and end users on the benefit of using Burgess products to help build case studies and impactful executive reports and presentations.
· Continually updates and maintains the most current and relevant CRM data. Flag and communicate critical changes in relationship dynamics.
· Communicates to internal teams any compliance guidelines and processes that are requirements and/or proprietary to each client—should include cultural information, idiosyncrasies of the clients and buyers. This information should be documented regularly and shared as a part of sales strategy meetings.
· Ensures that all communications to client (emails, letters and conversations) reflect brand and messaging; convey to all contact points within a client the features, benefits and competitive advantage of Burgess products and services; and that all communications are captured in an accurate and timely manner in the CRM system.
· Works closely with Compliance Manager on administrative, contractual and financial processes and challenges to ensure constant ease of business with Burgess.
· Works closely with the Compliance Manager on annual review of client A/R and contracts to ensure compliance in all areas of the contract.
· Plans and executes quarterly business reviews with the client to conduct quality checks and deliver usage reports—including ensuring that there are no service or product issues and gathering critical information on the number of users and projects Burgess products are being used for. Also uses this forum to gather potential product survey information to help with future releases.
· Schedules and coordinates sales meetings, client trainings for client meetings accordingly.
· Supports conference preparation activities including, manning the booth, setting up pre-conference and post conference follow-up sales activities.
· Identifies areas within Medicare Reimbursement to build expertise and deliver industry knowledge and credibility based information to clients in communications with them.
· Becomes an expert in Burgess products to better understand challenges, features and benefits when communicating with clients and prospects.

Minimum Qualifications:
· Degree in Business, Communication, Marketing or related field.
· Medicare experience a plus.
· 3+ years of experience in one or more of the following: business development, client relations, account management, marketing, project coordination or related experience.
· Exhibits clear passion for the subject matter.
· Uses good judgment in decision-making.
· Proactively and creatively problems solves.
· Excellent research, process design and systems implementation skills.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Is efficient and multi-tasks. Able to execute details within multi-pronged initiatives.
· Team player. Integrated approach to work and team management. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to work easily and amicably with all levels of an organization, from line-producers to C-level executives.
· Works with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines.
· Superior written, oral communications and presentation skills.
· Superior standards for quality; able to create and maintain excellence.
· Familiarity with healthcare information and software industry is a plus.
· Experience in start-up environment a plus.
