ASP .NET Developer
A .NET Developer is needed to join the development team for the Re-engineering of the Our Clients Statistics System based in North Carolina. The selected individual will build Visual Basic.NET or ASP.NET database applications on SQL Server 2005. Primary focus will be on design and development of User Interfaces for the system.
Required Skills:
• Candidate must have a solid understanding of N-tier architecture. Understanding of software development processes in a structured environment is required.
• Requires excellent working knowledge of the Microsoft.NET Framework.
• Experience in Web technology & coding experience in .NET Framework 1.x, VB.NET, ASP. NET, ADO.NET, VS.NET 2002/3, ASP, VB, VBScript, COM/DCOM, IIS Visual Interdev, JavaScript is required.
• Candidate must have a minimum of 6 years application development experience using an Object Oriented Programming Language.
• Candidate must have a minimum of 4 years application development experience using Visual Studio.NET with a minimum of 2 years application development experience using Visual Basic.NET
• Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years experience developing database applications, preferably using Visual Basic.NET WinForms on the front-end and SQL Server 200x on the back-end.
Additional Desired Skills/Pluses:
• Additional Desired Skills/Pluses: ASP.NET and Classic ASP Visual Studio 2005 SQL Server 2005. Connection of SQL Server database applications to statistical reporting tools including SAS and Beyond 2020.
• Requires demonstrated ability for strong problem-solving, trouble-shooting, and communication skills, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to work independently with little direction
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. (Proven global understanding of team concepts and good software development practices) and strong communication and presentation skills.
• Adaptable, flexible and able to work under tight schedules to meet deadlines.
• Experience working in government or public health fields is highly desirable.
Educational Requirements:
• BS/BA required, MS/MA desired, [Major: CmpSci/MIS]
• 8+ Years of experience in lieu of degree
