As our Sales Engineer based out of San Francisco, CA, you will be the key technical contact for prospective accounts, primarily providing pre-sales support. We’ll rely on your well rounded technical understanding of the following areas to help effectively position our product to meet customer needs:Design and/or management of database applications, on either major proprietary databases (Oracle, MSSQL) or open source offerings (MySQL, postgreSQL)System administration skills related to the deployment of Web applications or enterprise applicationsWeb application development and management using Perl, PHP, Ruby on Rails, Tomcat, etc.Enterprise application design, development, deployment, and management using application Servers like JBoss, WebLogic, WebSphere, etc.Participating in almost every aspect of the sales process, you will help the Account Executive qualify opportunities for appropriate technical fit, assess the customer’s business needs, and then participate in the presentation of a solution that meets the customer’s requirements. After the initial sale, you'll continue to work with existing clients to up-sell and cross-sell opportunities. Ultimately, your success will be driven by your strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with your consultative approach as you cultivate customer relationships, manage expectations and articulate comprehensive solutions that best leverage the value-add that ELASTRA technology offers.
