Flexstar environmental test systems deliver accurate testing with consistency over the widest range of temperature and humidity. The well-proven Flexstar software simplifies testing with a familiar GUI and the ability to easily create and modify test scripts with no programming expertise required.

Our focus is providing open architecture test solutions for design validation, quality & reliability, compliance & compatibility, and production applications. With a product family that ranges from turnkey systems to components, FLEXSTAR has provided solutions to many of the leading hard disk drive manufacturers (HDD) and solid state drives (SSD) and optical drives (ODD) and PC OEMs. Our experience across a wide customer base, and our ability to complement the efforts of our customer’s internal test organizations, allows us to tailor our solutions to specific customer requirements

We are currently seeking a qualified individual to join our professional services team. If you have Linux knowledge and training, previous experience working with hard drives in QA&R lab or previous experience writing firmware for hard drives you may have the skills and knowledge required.

Conducts classroom lectures and discussions on theory of operation, technology, and specific systems used in the testing of hard drives and solid state drives.; instructs and demonstrates the use of special tools and equipment; verifies that students understand training and are competent to perform as instructed.. Organizes workshops and workstations that use components such as simulators that depict specific systems.

 

Responsibilities:
-- Develop and deploy cutting-edge technologies for Flexstar's software solutions.
-- Develop solutions for Linux and Windows platform.
-- Develop functional and design specifications.
-- Produce intellectual properties.

-- Develop test sequences for customers

You are qualified if you have the following:

-- BS in Computer Science.
-- Min. 3+ yrs. software and systems development experience.
-- Proficient in C++ and Java. Ability to read understand and re-compile code

-- Python Experience is a plus

-  Do you have experience with Flexstar equipment, big plus !

Very strong technical knowledge/background, with hard drives or SSD. Skill in effectively managing training environments. Working knowledge of word processor, spreadsheet, other PC applications, or mainframe applications to produce non-standard, creative products.

This position can be located in the SF Bay Area or in the Denver Colorado area.
