eCommerce Systems Manager

Our client is a very well known large, global retail company. We are working with one of its premier brand divisions in the United States.

 

We are searching for a well rounded engineer who understands high transaction, multi-tier ecommerce deployments utilizing primarily:

 

Solaris

Oracle

ATG Application Server (any app server would do however)

Network and network devices (DNS, Cisco switches, load balancers)

Storage (ideally Pillar), but EMC would be ok

Data Security

 

Other desirable knowledge areas include:

 

Virtualization

Interactive Video

 

This role has two primary functions. First, the candidate will manage the outside vendors to whom the performance, availability and management of our clients’ ecommerce systems is currently entrusted. Second, the candidate will help shape and evolve the direction of our client’s ecommerce future.

 

In addition to solid exposure to most (not necessarily all) of the technologies noted above, communication skills are enormously important. The candidate will be responsible for interacting with our client’s vendors and with both technical and non-technical internal executives.
