Wireless Network Field Engineer

Engineer/Specialist – Performs technical analysis of software, hardware, and network systems, systems integration for WLAN/LAN/WAN communications, network nodes, switches, and various transmission systems. Plans, designs, and implements networked systems, including configurations, supporting and troubleshoots network problems and coordinates with customers, vendors, and providers for installation of such items as routers, bridges, concentrators, switches and access points - commonly at customer locations. Conducts analysis, prepares reports, and works on project implementation. Serves as technical liaison with vendors.

-Requires 6+ years of progressive, related experience or any combination of education and experience -Proficiency with Cisco, AirFortress,and Aruba wireless deployments in secure network environments -Experience with site surveying for 802.11 a, b and g. -Design, Implement and Troubleshoot wireless infrastructure. - Knowledge of current IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/i wireless standards. -Familiarity with wireless security and authentication mechanisms (802.1x, WPA/WPA2, 802.11i, EAP) - Sound knowledge of protocols TCP/IP, PPP, L2TP, IPSEC, and Wireless LAN protocols such as 802.1x and EAP are a plus -Linux OS knowledge a plus -Familiarity with passive and active RFID hardware, concepts and operations desired -Good proposal writing and cost estimating skills -Willing to submit to personal background and citizenship checks required for access to some facilities Mandatory: This position will require excessive travel. Applicant must be willing to travel up to 80% of the time. Good communications skills (verbal and written) Desirable: Cisco WIRELESS Certification CCNA Certification CWNA CertificationJob Code : 300 Division/Department : CDO Technologies Inc Travel Required : 70-80% Skills : Information Technology -> Hardware Troubleshooting
