Do you have a second life on the internet? Can you ensure that the Somerset Hills Y gets a great life there, too? We are looking for a creative and detail oriented Webmaster that can make our footprint on the internet bigger and better.
The Webmaster works 20-25 hours a week and reports to the VP of Marketing. S/he is responsible for the front-end website, as well as all social media initiatives, including making daily updates to ensure content is current and provides our membership and other website visitors with correct schedules and event information, and educates constituencies about the YMCA's mission. Primary responsibilities are in the YMCA's marketing and communications efforts as well as education about the YMCA's mission and image.

Requirements:
Profound knowledge of web-based design programs and software are essential, and a working knowledge of various desktop publishing software, including Photoshop, Database Technology and the internet is required. Must have a minimum of 3-5 years working experience as Webmaster or in a related area. Has understanding and experience working with social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. Takes initiatives and is a self-starter: Has a proven track record of successful relevant initiatives and innovate projects. Basic HTML knowledge is preferred. Proven editing/proofreading skills are essential and experience with MAMBO preferred. Has a Bachelor's degree preferably in the field of communications, marketing or its equivalent.
