Web Programmer/Developer

Specialty Publishing Company, publisher of 2 national publications, is seeking a full time, in-house Web Programmer/Developer to join our winning team.

 

Position Responsibilities: Developing new Web applications using ASP.NET technologies Enhancing existing company Websites by identifying areas that require improvement and recommending or implementing solutions Implementing and focusing on new/emerging technologies and methods Maintaining Web usability

 

Position Requirements: Thorough knowledge of database design Proven experience using SQL Server Ability to troubleshoot through resolution of application and/or system errors Experience with developing Web queries within databases Ability to program Web applications to enhance static and dynamic, database-driven Websites Experience with open source PHP a plus 

 

Candidate Must Be Experienced in the Following: ASP.NET MS SQL 2005, MySQL ASP, VB Script XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript Understanding/Exposure to AJAX, RSS, and other Web 2.0 technologies 

 

 

Qualified candidates should be up-to-date and proficient in applying Web 2.0 technologies.  We desire a creative self-starter who has the ability to manage multiple tasks while developing new Web projects.  Applicants must be motivated and work well as a team player in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
