CED is interviewing candidates for a Website Manager position based in Mobile, AL. This a full-time salaried position working in a fast-paced and dynamic industry. The ideal candidate should have significant project management experience related to websites and have demonstrated leadership ability to work with internal and external customers and key vendors to ensure that required technical features are feasible and can be implemented. The candidate must have a Bachelors Degree and at least 10 years of work experience.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage website application project development and deployment of website content.  Maintain direct contact with internal customers, external customer, and vendors to identify web content issues, propose solutions, and manage new project development to full implementation.  Provide analysis of existing platform problems and development of new solutions. Direct vendors and internal staff to prioritize and complete content updates in a timely manner. Provide presentations and possible training of developed web projects. Perform website functionality and navigation testing.  Prepare technical documentation. The candidate must be prepared to work in a variety of website environments, simultaneously, to effectively complete assigned responsibilities.
TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED
The Website Manager should have the following skills and abilities Knowledge of and experience in managing projects in the following web programming languages/ technologies: Microsoft.NET, ASP.NET, ASP, SmartClient, WinForms, SQL Server, HTML, DHTML, CSS and Javascript.   Good understanding of timelines and processes associated with graphic development skills tools, such as Visual Studio.NET, Database Design in SQL Server, and Photoshop, to effectively manage the development of web and client server applications, as well as website content. Highly skilled in managing projects with user interface features, feature- rich web applications, data-driven web sites, site animation and special effects with Flash development and other multimedia web development tools. Working knowledge of learning management systems.  Have experience in managing projects that interface with dissimilar system interfaces. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Be well versed in the programming languages and tools required for web page development and maintenance. Ability to educate staff outside the department (when necessary) on new or existing website developments. Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills are a must. Must be prepared to be "on-call" for emergency/urgent website requests. Ability to work in a high pressure constantly changing dynamic environment.
NON-TECHNICAL SKILLS
The Website Manager must be able to: Interface with people throughout the organization Ask the right questions to get an end user’s requirements Define the scope of a project, including feasibility, priorities and timelines Set realistic expectations for end users Delegate when appropriate and to the appropriate person Work effectively with vendors and service providers to get the proper product or service at the right cost Manage all the activities and paperwork associated with budgets and purchasing Analyze the organization’s growth and procedures to identify future needs and applications Facilitate ongoing communication between internal and external customers and developers. Run project meetings including status meetings. Provide status reports to management. Evaluate, recommend and present solutions to the business. Collect and document business requirements and required project documentation. Independently oversee maintenance and enhancement releases to existing websites and applications. Negotiate timelines and business expectations. Manage quality assurance. Manage contractor/vendors. Experience with insurance industry is a plus.
