Join a team of highly skilled professionals who are doing pro bono work to help a local nonprofit increase its impact while boosting your resume. As a Taproot Foundation volunteer, you will have the chance to work with a local nonprofit organization specializing in one of the following issue areas:• Education• Health• Environment• Social ServicesThe Taproot Foundation lets you "give what you know" so that you can make the strongest impact on your local community while networking and growing professionally. We are currently looking for seasoned web developers to join our award-winning pool of professional volunteers.Web Developers NeededThe Web Developer role is responsible for implementation of feature/functions of technology Service Grants. They will work on team to code the back-end of a website designed by the graphic designer on the team. The ideal web developer will have 3+ years of development experience including standard web development background: - DHTML, CGI, VbScript, ASP, PHP, JSP, SQL, FTP, Telnet, and VSS.Each Taproot Foundation project lasts 5 - 6 months with volunteers committing 3 - 5 hours of their time each week, often virtually.
