We are looking for a webmaster with extensive Intranet development, test, and production experience. This person will be responsible for implementing the ongoing development of the Organization?s websites. The webmaster will also be responsible for performing day-to-day site maintenance of the intranet and its applications updating content and troubleshooting issues.
Additional responsibilities will include document work performed and write maintainable HTML/ASP code with detailed comment tags, assist in development of a new look and feel for web sites which is based on SharePoint 2007. Other responsibilities include the maintenance and correction of issues with an intranet mirror site for external agency.
Principal Job Duties
1. Resolve issues and enhancement requests from Government contacts and users through various avenues including the Webmaster mailbox. Update content as requested documenting requests and issues in Remedy.
2. Develop intranet solutions in concurrence with the general organizational guidelines. Assist in the development, delivery and maintenance of enterprise-widei nternet based applications using HTML, CSS, ASP, ASP.NET, JavaScript and XML.
3. Able to convert ASP applications to ASP.NET. Develops codes, tests, and debugs new software or enhancements to existing software. Writes programs according to specifications needed.
4. Able to convert MS Access databases to SQL databases. Extensive experience with database architecture.
5. Enable access to legacy web applications as needed.
6. Understand and implement solutions to address web-related security issues (bugs, holes, viruses, password protection, etc.) and updates.
7. Performs maintenance on existing software products and contributes knowledge of business applications.
8. Works with the technical staff and users to resolve issues.
9. Resolves customer complaints with the software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
Assists in the development of end user and operations manuals and SOPs.Qualifications
Candidate Requirements
1. 4+ years of experience with HTML 3.2/4.0 at the tag level, as well as using WYSIWYG tools like FrontPage2003 and Visual Studio is required.
2. 4+ years of integrated authentication with Active Directory and client-side JavaScript programming experience.
3. 4+ years of Microsoft server-side VBScript and ASP, ASP.NET development using Visual Studio.
4. 4+ years of experience in database design, MS Access, SQL, query design and optimization.
5. Experience in Windows 2003 Server and IIS 6.0 configuration and maintenance.
6. Hands on experience with configuration and maintenance of Usage Statistics tools.
7. Demonstrated success completing projects independently and in a team environment
8. Good oral and written communication skills
Additional Desired Skill Sets
· Experience with SharePoint 2003 or SharePoint 2007at any levels will be highly desirable.
· Experience with Lexis-Nexis Research Software 7.2, MS Office, MS FrontPage, MS Publisher, MS SharePoint Designer a plus.
· Experience with Documentum.
