Voice System Engineer in Torrance, CA

Location: Torrance, CA

 

Job Description:

 

1) Engineering of Voice System related solutions for project and operational needs.

2) Pre-sales support: Understand customer requirement, design of Voice System and Network, create cost sheet.

3) Install new / rebuild existing PBX/KTS and configure HW, Programming, Implementation and customer training etc.

4) Contribute to maintain system standards.

5) Support per request from our customers.

6) Investigate and troubleshoot issues.

7) Repair and recover from HW or SW failures.

8) Coordinate and communicate with our customers and venders.

9) Documentation (Create Customer Profile, Call flow, Operational Information, Knowledge Base and Trouble History, etc.)

 

Qualification / Requirements:

1)  NEC Certified Required: Electra, Elite IPK/IPK2, NEAX2000, 2400 and Voice Mail, T1/CCIS and IP CCIS

2) CAT3, 5, 5e and 6 cable experience

3)  5 years experience as Voice system Engineer
4)  Excellent fault-isolation / troubleshooting skills

5)  Positive relations with customers, vender/carrier and co-workers

 

General Skills and experience

  1) Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) or equivalent from four-year College or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  2) Additional coursework or certification related to Primary Job Functions may be necessary.
