Visual Designer Graphic Design Prototyping

Scope: The Small Business Group Customer Care Visual Designer serves to conceptualize and to create a positive customer support experience through the presentation of our web based application. The goal is to make customer interactions, appealing, functional, engaging, effective, and visually unified as possible via a visual language (using typography, photography, iconography, and a sense for composition and proportions) and infusing it with our brand.A Visual designer creates multiple visual concepts, tangible manifestations of experiences (such as prototypes), and establishes / maintains visual libraries for the larger teams to use. Once in production, the visual designer is involved in a continuous cycle of learning from customers, providing the learning back into strategy and designs for upcoming releases and new growth ideas.Qualifications: Team/Leadership Skills:* Proven experience collaborating and sharing their point of view and expertise with usability, writers, development and leadership team. * Graphic Design Prototyping tools across a variety of media (print, motion, web) including Illustrator, Flash, etc.* Knowledge of HTML, understanding of how comps translate to code* Solid understanding of the practical benefits and limitations of Internet Technologies (Shockwave, Java, etc.)* Qualifications/Required Education and Experience:* BA/MFA in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or Equivalent* 5+ yrs of visual or user interface design experience with web applications and sites* Must provide a portfolio of work samplesTypical Deliverables:* Developing design prototypes and written user interface specificationsenhancements and scope release cycles* Working with Web Engineering and Development teams and QA to ensure implementation and testing of user interface designs* Developing and managing multiple project plans and deadlines.
