VP, Channel Sales

GXS is seeking a dynamic, creative, professional for the Vice President of Channel Sales opening.  This role reports to the Senior Vice President, Global Sales, and is located in Gaithersburg, MD (company headquarters).  This is a key partnership role and successful candidate will collaborate closely with the SVP Global Sales, Sales geography leaders, and GXS senior leaders to establish, develop and launch a global channels program within GXS. Specific responsibilities will include:

• Establish, build, and develop a world-wide channels strategy. This is a “start up” opportunity, not building upon an already established strategy. • Execute the channels strategy. Define and build the channels organization (people & processes) within GXS. • Build strong relationships with selected global channel partners – in markets or verticals we may or may not be in today  

Job Requirements:


• 10+ years of Sales/Channels Sales experience, particularly working for strong product and/or services type companies • Experienced in “Software as a Service” • Strong network of partners/channels to build upon; ideally has strong experience in building up and managing a channels program. • High energy, passion, evangelizes channels and its importance/potential • Strong communication, planning and influencing skills • Strong executive presence • Strong financial skills • Bachelors Degree, MBA or Masters Degree preferred
