Job Description:
We are in search of a software developer who is proficient in ASP.NET using VB.NET and a SQL Server backend. This person will become a SME (subject matter expert) of one of the business entities within Wolfe.com. This person will troubleshoot bugs and system errors as needed. The developer will be involved in the entire life-cycle of a project which includes Business Specifications Review/Input, Technical Specification, Coding, Quality Assurance, and Release Management. The person will work under or in conjunction with the business users and under the division manager.
Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field/experience Strong VB.NET and ASP.NET skills in both object-oriented and procedural programming (4+ years). Experience with E-Commerce development (Shopping Carts, Gateways, Etc.) Experience with back-office automation and integration. Experience working with and extending N-tier architectures. Development experience with RSS. Proficient in SQL Server and relational databases and schema creation. Proficient in SQL Server stored procedure development. Proven track record of seeing projects through the entire Software Development Life Cycle. Ability to work independently as a self-starter. Basic donfiguration knowledge of IIS web servers a plus. Microsoft development certifications a plus. Strong HTML, JavaScript, and CSS knowledge. Commitment to quality and teamwork. Compensation will be dependent upon experience level.
