User Acceptance Analyst

Job Summary:

The User Acceptance Analyst is responsible for the analysis of production support issues, documenting defects reported by BOS users, and the development and execution of user acceptance test plans. Other responsibilities of the User Acceptace Analyst include creating ad hoc reports, performing metric analyses on reported production issues, and assisting with training efforts for BOS users related to new system functionality.

Essential Functions:Develop and execute (manual) user acceptance test plans. Communicate and collaborate with business users and Information System Division (ISD). resources to resolve production issues including confirmation of the issue and testing of the solution.  Conduct detailed analysis of production issues to prevent redundancy or false reports. Complete accurate and detailed reports on production issues, including the steps to reproduce problems. Provide accurate level of effort estimates for user acceptance testing tasks.  Meet or exceed the scheduled dates for testing completion.  Assist in the configuration and maintenance of test environments. Investigate data integrity issues which may impact a department’s work including database enhancements and process workarounds.

 

 

Qualifications:

 Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience.2+ years of demonstrated and successful experience testing software applications.Demonstrated proficiency in developing and writing test plans as well as understanding of test methodology practices Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required. Experience using SQL required; ability to pass a proficiency exam in the used of Structured Query Language (SQL) required.Basic understanding of database design concepts desirable.
