USA jobs: Rational Tools Administrator

CGI is looking for an experienced Rational Tools Administrator for a large state government project in Baton Rouge. Candidates should have at least two years of proven experience configuring and maintaining a robust environment which includes Rational Quality Manager, ClearQuest, RequisitePro, BuildForge, and ClearCase. Candidates should also have excellent communication skills.

The Rational Administrator will be responsible for the development and maintenance of the Rational environment for a major application development project. The Rational environment that will be utilized on the project includes the following toolset: Rational RequisitePro, Rational ClearCase, Rational ClearQuest, Rational Quality Manager, and Rational BuildForge.

The Rational Administrator will work with client and contractor staff to build-out the environment and the toolset. The Rational Administrator will be charged with activities that include maintaining the Rational environment and making necessary customizations to the toolset to meet the project requirements.

The Rational Administrator will support the configuration and software management process by managing build and deploys of code to the different environments and will be charged with establishing and merging streams of code that will be utilized by an offsite development staff. The Rational Administrator role is a key role on the project and will be a role of significant responsibility.

The Rational tools will be utilized to support both a Natural mainframe environment and Java based web environment. Through this project a front end system will be developed that interacts with a series of mainframe and java applications to provide a series of portals for providers, customers, and workers. These three portal will provide a significant level of automation to manual processes and will allow workers, customers and providers to interact in a streamlined manor providing relief to workers, an increase in provider’s ability to manage their accounts and services, and allowing customers to achieve new levels of self-sufficiency.
