POSITION SUMMARY

Design dynamic, scalable solutions using BizTalk, .NET, and SQL Server utilizing SLS standard development procedures and techniques that support the requirements defined by users and analysts. Candidates will be responsible for working on multiple software development projects, working closely with team members in the development, programming, maintenance, technical support, documentation and administration of business integration processes, core applications, databases, and utilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for the design, development, and unit testing of all related BizTalk objects including Mappings, Orchestrations, Transactions, Business Rules, schemas, endpoints, transformation rules, ports, business and web services, messages, workflows, interfaces, security permissions, and process monitoring.
Developing dynamic SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) processes to automate business processes between multiple disparate systems, applications, and data.
Support the complete software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, specifications, development, change management, testing and deployment activities in accordance with SLS Best Practices and Code Standards.
Maintain multiple BizTalk environments. Investigate, plan and apply BizTalk patches and fixes including troubleshooting solutions, services, components, and server errors. Configuration and integration with Business Activity Monitoring. Create and utilize process monitoring services such as Microsoft Operations Monitoring.
Work collaboratively with team members and business partners in defining, designing, developing, and implementing technology solutions to improve business functions. Analyze processes and applications and implement improvements to optimize improvements. Identify, evaluate, and implement BizTalk adapters appropriate to supporting project needs.
Participate in the planning and implementation of projects, which includes the design and execution of acceptance test plans to ensure a successful implementation. Perform thorough testing your own and other team members developed code. Develop system documentation for all developed applications, including design and technical specifications.
Display understanding of the total SLS IT computing environment and daily operations and understand the impact of planned changes. Provide tiered production support including limited on-call and participate in design and technical meetings.
Translate customer requirements, recommend system solutions, and formulate detailed specifications from which enterprise applications are developed. Work closely with business partners to produce quality products that meet business needs.
Track and report development progress and performance on a regular basis.

SKILLS

Demonstrated ability to balance multiple concurrent projects of varying priorities and shift focus from one project to another with minimal loss of productivity or quality.
Proficient in identifying project needs, estimating and prioritizing tasks, setting intermediate goals and milestones to accomplish the final outcome.
Proficient in SSIS development techniques, ETL processes and best practices.
Demonstrated experience with database design.
Demonstrated data modeling and analysis skills.
Demonstrated experience with developing VB.Net applications and the .NET Framework.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience of object oriented design patterns as well as enterprise architecture design patterns.
The ability to function as a team player and lead team members in medium-sized projects.
Experience with other Microsoft languages and technologies, including MSMQ, Sharepoint, Visual Studio Team System (VSTS) and Team Foundation Server.
Demonstrated experience with adhering to usability, design and development standards.
Demonstrated experience with all aspects of unit testing, performance testing and user acceptance testing.
In-depth experience with the development lifecycle and software development methodologies.
Ability to work in a collaborative, dynamic team environment and interact at all levels to ensure reliability, availability, scalability, and performance of applications.
Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Strong analytical and problem resolution skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Loan servicing or mortgage lending experience preferred.

EDUCATION &/or EXPERIENCE

B.S. or B.A. in Computer Science preferred.
4+ years of professional, technical experience in a developer role.
2+ years experience of development and administration of BizTalk, Business Activity Monitoring, complex rules within the BizTalk Rules Engine and SQL Server Integration Services.
4+ years experience of Microsoft development technologies (VB.Net, XML/XSL) and a passion for newer emerging technologies such as WF, WCF, etc.
4+ years experience with developing SQL Server applications and optimization including DDL, DML, stored procedures and triggers.
Microsoft Certified Technical Specialist (MCTS) Certification preferred.
