Their culture believes in providing high customer satisfaction by supplying products and services that delight customers and offer value.  The working environment promotes values and encourages employee development, diversity, and leadership excellence. ***This is a DIRECT HIRE opportunity!!! The ideal candidate will responsible for the following:  The UNIX / Linux Administrator will design, install, configure, administer, tune, and optimize UNIX and Linux systems servers and related components to achieve high availability and performance of the various business applications supported.  The Administrator will provide 24x7 support to a Red Hat Linux and IBM AIX environment. Administrator will also provide support for IBM SAN and Tivoli Backup Manager. Support implementation of new / upgraded business systems. Recommend alternative solutions to operating system configurations to ensure industry best practices are followed regarding system availability, backup and security. Develop key automation tools for streamlining workflow and systems management. Configure and build new images for production and development use. Develop and maintain procedures to comply with IT best practices. Maintain documentation of systems configurations and procedures. Work with other systems administration and networking team members to ensure thorough communication of systems environment status. Work with development, QA and other administrators to develop and implement improved application enhancement deployment practices. Monitor the availability of patches and updates, as well as evaluate the importance to the environment and schedule installations accordingly. Assist Service Desk with problem resolution and answer system usage questions. Work with users to schedule application of patches, software updates and hardware upgrades. Work with the Business Continuity Team to refine and test disaster recovery systems and procedures. Work with hardware and software vendors to resolve hardware outages and software defects. Keep current with latest hardware and software technology, and evaluate technologies as needed. REQUIRED SKILLS:  Bachelor’s Degree in a business related area. Strong management and coordination skills (people and project). Good relationship builder (i.e. cooperative approach) Proven experience in complex ERP environment. Certification in UNIX/Linux administration highly desirable. Strong experience in IBM AIX advanced virtualization. Strong experience in IBM SAN management.
