UM Intake/Support Coordinator (Grade 13)

Assists in coordination of workflow of complex tasks for the Medical Management Team. Works with all members of the team (which includes Case Management, Disease Management /Special Programs, and Utilization Review) helping to support these programs. Enters all referral/data information into the computer system, maintaining proper documentation and facilitating coordination of services. The position will be directly associated with incoming referrals/authorizations for the utilization component of medical management. Available for all medical management special projects and needs. Requirements

Receives incoming referrals from providers, via telephone queue line (or other means) and obtains necessary demographic and clinical intake information.Contacts provider offices for further details on referrals, if necessary. Researches member eligibility and primary care selection to complete entry of referral.Documents and maintains all telephone calls and enters a note on each call/inquiry made. Documents all admissions, and referrals. Maintains flow and storage of information such as messages, forms, and logs.Assists team with establishing and maintaining efficient communication processes with providers.Maintains the flow and storage of information within medical management.Prioritizes work duties in order to maintain customer satisfaction through prompt and efficient service. Additional duties

Represents Medical Management at applicable activities including system user groups and other health data system organizations.Attends department and staff meetings.Maintains professional growth and development through self-directed learning activities and involvement in professional, civic and community organizations.Exhibits exceptional internal and external customer service skills.Ability to work in clinical and company databases.Other duties as assigned by Medical Management leadership. Qualifications

High school diploma required. Associate's degree is preferred.Minimum of 3 years experience working in managed care or medical background. Medical terminology a plus and Medicaid experience a plus. How to apply
