10453434User Interface DesignerContract: 6-8 Months40/hours a weekLocation: Wilsonville, ORStart: September 1, 2008User Interface DesignerResponsibilities:Provide UI design leadership for project, committed to meeting project deliverables, decisive in applying design experience and tolerant of ambiguity in requirements or communications.Design user interface layouts, typography, color palettes, transitions and animations as neededCoordinate needed graphical work with other team members.Architect menu tree navigation and flow chart as required.Document graphical design work, recommended menu tree changes and custom behavior specifications for vendor.Interface with IDHI as needed to assure coherency of design with Client standards.Apply Client standard user interface design elements established by Client IDHI. Interpret and apply Client 8th Gen Style guide and Tool kit (and adapt 8th Gen 24 bit graphics to 15 bit environment).Provide updated files with artwork to vendor.Negotiate user interface design specification changes with KM (establish positive working relationships with Japanese vendor).Understand user model and behavior as detailed by vendor specifications.Review designs with cross functional program team and align UI design requirements from Planning, Product Marketing and Support.Facilitate usability testing with human factors team, interpret results and modify designs based on test results.Develop Flash prototypes for usability test if needed.QualificationsApplicable graphical user interface design degree.5+ years of experience, specifically touch screens.Demonstrated product design with touch screen user interfaces (provide examples of high tech product designs).Computer skills Microsoft Office, Adobe - Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash Apply Now Location: Portland, OR, 97070Status: Full Time, Temporary/Contract/ProjectJob Category: IT/Software DevelopmentCareer Level: Experienced (Non-Manager) About COMSYS COMSYS IT Partners, Inc.
