Training Specialist

Position Purpose:
This position is responsible for the delivery of training curriculum to Amadeus customers and employees. This is an entry level position. The incumbent prepares lesson plans based upon existing curriculum. The position provides learning experiences for employees and customers, which enhance productivity, profitability and revenue. Delivery of curriculum is accomplished through classroom and web based delivery mediums.
Responsibilities:
Deliver high quality training via Traditional Classroom, Live Online and Blended training to Amadeus customers and employees providing instructional skills to groups with diverse proficiency levels.
Maintains a high level of knowledge on the Amadeus Selling Platform, Products and System Enhancements in order to manage curriculum delivery and sell the features and benefits of Amadeus products to provide the highest quality training to employees and customers, thus enhancing knowledge and learning.
Prepares and keeps current classroom and live online materials, delivery application, software and equipment for training events to effectively facilitate learning.
Actively participate and represent the Customer Training Team in departmental meetings and projects.  Assist Team Leader in the coordination and planning of Onsite and By Invitation Only (private live online) training for high profile customers.
Participate on project teams by sharing technical expertise in development of training.
Assist Team Leader and Manager with urgent and special projects.
Requirements:
Must be familiar with the Amadeus system and products
Must maintain an Instructor QI average of 95%.
Must possess excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Must effectively deliver training to groups of customers with diverse skill levels and manage group dynamics.
Must be effective in selling the features and benefits of the Amadeus system and products to customers and employees in a classroom setting.
Must possess an overall knowledge of Microsoft Office, PowerPoint and Internet Explorer.
Must possess skills to become quickly proficient on new products.
Must have knowledge of Learning Management System and the tools/techniques needed to conduct Live Online classes and Blended Learning Programs
Previous knowledge of Instructional System Design and Adult Learning Theory a plus
Must have a minimum 1year teaching in classroom environment.
Must have a minimum of 5 year working knowledge of the travel industry
Education:
A B.S. or B.A. or equivalent experience is required. Must have one year experience in training delivery.
Other Considerations:
Ability to travel is required.  Possibly 40% of job will require travel
