(NYSE-BE) is one of the world's largest Management and Technology Consulting companies dedicated to aligning business and systems to empower Global 2000 companies and government organizations.The BearingPoint Financial Services Practice is currently searching for Test Managers for our BearingPoint offices across the Canada and the U.S. Responsibilities:-Client facing consulting role that involves working with executives, middle managers, team leads, project teams, and direct reports-Level and quality of delivery responsibilities must consistently demonstrate BearingPoint's role as an industry leader and trusted partner for Quality Management solutions-Play a leadership role in business development activities, developing supporting IP, proposals, and prototypes/demo's-Develop and maintain relationships with our clients-Plan and coordinate all Testing efforts, including the development of Test artifacts-Creation of Test Strategies and plans (including all aspects of Testing: system functionality, user acceptance, stress, performance, automation, etc.)-Execution and documentation of Test Strategy and Test Plans-Creation and maintenance of manual Test scripts-Creation and maintenance of automated Test scripts following the appropriate industry best practices (e.g. Data driven, key word driven, proper use of automation tools, etc.)-Ensure all system requirements, features and functionalities are fully covered by test scenarios and scripts-Advocate the appropriate level of quality by the resolution of important defects-Ensure the appropriate planning and management of test resources-Assess the progress and effectiveness of the test effort-Track test progress, provide status reports, coordinate test approval and go/no go decisions-Defining defect life cycle in coordination with development team-Liaison work between user test personnel and developers; and change control team and release managers-Partners with all team members working on the test effort to ensure participants are adequately trained on testingTechnical Skills Required:-10+ years of consulting experience and 5+ years of Testing and Test Management experience is required for this position-A development background with hands on delivery experience with Test Automation and Performance Engineering solutions-Understand DB relationships and data models and atleast 1-2 years of experience in this area-Minimum of 1 year of SQL knowledge to develop queries to check the calculations and outputs of delivered software-Ability to create SQL scripts that can mimic ETLs and data flows for verification.-Passionate understanding and delivery experience with the appropriate use of Industry leading Testing Tools (e.g. Rational and HP/Mercury suite of products)-At least 3 years experience with testing processes, activities, and deliverables for standard SDLC's (e.g. AGILE, RUP, Waterfall, etc.)Industry Experience:Consulting, Banking, Insurance, Technology ApplicationsAdditional skills:-Demonstrated ability to coordinate across multiple teams-Excellent Quantitative analytical abilities-Knowledge of major legacy and emerging technologies, especially as relate to financial services industry-Experience working with C-level executives-Performance management-Solution sales and marketing (both internal and external)-Must have a Bachelor's Degree in computer Science Equivalent to that of a North American DegreeLogistics: Candidates must have the ability to accommodate a Monday-Friday travel scheduleBearingPoint is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, national origin, religion, color, gender, sexual orientation, age, non-disqualifying physical or mental disability or any other basis covered by law.
