Test Development Engineer

The Bluetooth SIG develops and maintains the Specifications for Bluetooth Wireless technology and administers a testing program for all products. The primary goal of the Test Development Engineer is to review specifications and create new test requirements that will help improve product interoperability and verify compliance with specification.

Skills and RequirementsMinimum of 2 years of verification and software/hardware testing or test development experience in wireless technologyBachelor degree in a computer related field is required. Bluetooth testing and/or Bluetooth development experience is preferred.Strong technical writing experience is a must. Ability to understand technical specifications/standards and formal requirements.

 

Scope of Work 

 

Primary

 Educate Bluetooth SIG groups with regards to development of test documentation and create associated training materialsPerform initial test documentation reviews and provide guidance and development assistance based on review findingsAssist Bluetooth SIG groups in finalizing test documentation for Bluetooth SIG committee approvals

 

Secondary

 Manage the test specification errata process as well as compose new test specification errata as needed (based on areas which have potential for improvement)Support Test Plan Generator administration as neededDevelop and maintain IOP test plans for Test eventsBe responsible for some of the specification IOP eventsAttend working group F2F meetings as neededSupport Profile Tuning Suite team with interpretation of test requirements
