Temporary Junior Technician, JF 1684
We have an excellent opportunity for several temporary Junior Technician Specialists. These positions will be based at our headquarters in Ashburn, VA.
The candidate(s) will provide support to the Materials Management Organization which includes Shipping/Receiving, Warehouse, Quality, and Production. Shipping/Receiving. This is a temporary position for approximately 2 months, with potential for extension.
The candidate(s) will support Shipping/Receiving in organizing Sales Orders for packaging and shipment to satisfy customer orders. This task includes boxing materials for small package shipments and palletizing larger orders for freight delivery.
Warehouse
The Candidate(s) will provide support in picking materials for issuing to manufacturing materials orders and sales orders. Additional duties will include performing monthly cycle counts and inventory consolidation.
Quality
The candidate will provide support for Quality functions such as Incoming Quality Control (IQC), In Process Inspection, and Final Order Inspection (FOI). The candidate will be trained to read and understand the Sales Order (SO) documentation to include SO Pick List, SO Acknowledgment, DD250s, and DD1149s.
Production
The candidate(s) will be trained to integrate components such as DVDs, CDR/Ws, tape drives, hard drives, NIC cards, memory, RAID controllers, and redundant power supplies. Candidate will also learn to load software, software drivers, and modify system BIOS on various types of workstations, laptops, and servers. Candidate will test systems utilizing burn-in software packages to ensure functionality of systems.
Requirements:
Heavy lifting of product on a daily basis: l0 lbs up to 65 lbs often.
The successful candidate must meet eligibility requirements to access classified information, which requires a US citizenship.
