Responsible for planning, organizing, writing and editing Service Programming Guides, Quick Reference Guides, User Guides and Quick Start Cards and may also develop repair instructions, addenda, field service parts lists, and technical specifications. Documentation is distributed via multiple delivery systems including print, HTML, CD, and PDF formats. Researches technical information, interviews technical staff, and tests products to gather data for documentation projects. Produces products that conform to the company documentation and quality assurance standards. Learns to use professional concepts and applies company policies and procedures to resolves routine issues.2+ years technical writing experience creating both end-user documents and documentation for service center technicians, using multiple delivery platforms. Bachelors degree in Journalism, English, Computer Science or equivalent experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills required. Experience with Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Illustrator, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Visio, HTML, and document publishing processes; grasp of basic IT networking technologies and concepts. Ability to learn quickly, understand and write about technical matters to convey to various audiences. Strong initiative and ability to proactively solve problems, ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to adjust readily to changing priorities and to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Experience with digital camera and photo manipulation. Designs/writes documentation sets for consumer products. Acquires and organizes basic source material, including applicable specifications, engineering write-ups, and drawing packages. Researches, designs, write and proofread end-user documentation and technical specifications for KWC phone and Accessory products. Tests instructions to verify accuracy, consistency and clarity. Solves problems associated with document family organization, formatting and illustration.
