Technical Systems Manager
Technical Systems Manager providing architectural design, guidance, and support for databases, servers, networks, desktop infrastructure, and telecommunication systems. Provides information, training and developmental opportunities, and technical resources for Plant Information System Technologists. Assists plant management to determine specific IT goals and objectives that meet Corporate and Plant requirements. Interacts with IS&S to align manufacturing systems with corporate initiatives, standards, and policies. Conducts site audits to ensure Plant ISTs conform to policies and standards as outlined in the Enterprise Computing Standards (ECS) and Standard Network Applications Policies and Procedures (SNAPP). This position is a subset of the manufacturing engineering group that identifies, installs, and supports systems and applications which drive manufacturing processes.
Education & Experience:
Related bachelor’s degree or technical equivalent with five to ten years experience with computers, networks and applied information technology in manufacturing.
Project management/leadership experience. Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently; planning, scheduling and time management and experience.
Hardware/software system architecture, including Novell Netware, Windows Server and Windows Desktop O/S. Managing and supporting LAN/WAN & database administration. Wonderware and Rockwell application support strongly preferred.
