Technical Project Manager Needed in the Bay Area

Our client located in San Jose, CA needs a technical project manager for a 5 month contract.  Our client is upgrading their data center and needs someone to facilitate the process.   Responsibilities:  Function as a liaison within the Technology organization with the objective of facilitating the movement and installation of hardware Lead cross-functional discussions regarding current and future data center needs. Work with Data Center Services and Systems Engineering to maximize usage of data center power and space. Collate and communicate data center space and power status to Technology Management team. Work with Asset Management to prioritize allocation of available hardware to both infrastructure and business projects. Design and support processes to enhance communication between Operations, Network Engineering, Asset Management, Data Center Services, and Project Management. Act as a consultant to the Project Management and Architecture organizations. · Project Management of infrastructure initiatives to realign data center usage as needed.   Skill Requirements: 5+ years of technical project management experience with sensitivity to working with technical and business resources of differing capabilities Ability to function effectively in a fast paced environment, manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, and adapt quickly to shifting business priorities Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to resolve conflicts, lead meetings, deliver presentations, facilitate problem resolution, etc. Strong communications skills, and the ability to work well with other departments and all levels of management Ability to understand and correlate dependencies across multiple company initiatives as they related to data center space and power.
