TECHNICAL DIRECTOR

A non-profit, global organization in Research Triangle Park, NC is seeking a dynamic entrepreneurial leader to serve as Technical Director. This contract position reports to the organization's Board of Directors and is a member of the Technical Advisory Board (TAB). Responsibilities include: establishing the organization's technical direction; acting as liaison between the board and association members; identifying and resolving member and sponsor issues; ensuring website is meeting member needs; growing business by adding association sponsors; attending conferences and visiting sponsors; ensuring technical content of webcasts and conferences is meeting needs of targeted audience; and working closing with the TAB chair - ensuring the technical advisory board addresses specific member technical needs. Interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills are a must. Experience in technology, manufacturing and systems is optimal.Requires a bachelor's degree with a master's degree preferred and a minimum of 10 years works experience with at least 4 years in management. A technical degree is highly desirable but basic knowledge of business development and execution along with directly related work experience are the overriding criteria.
