Hiring for this position is contingent upon contract award. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience supporting U.S. Department of Homeland Security/TSA. Base of operations will be in Arlington, VA but opportunities will be available for work locations throughout the Greater Washington D.C. Metropolitan area. Essential Job Functions Responsible for reviewing, screening and event monitoring, alerting and systems management with focus on Microsoft technologies. Participates in client/project meeting(s) as technical expert for the assessment, determination and recommendation of client's hardware and software solutions. Oversees implementation of system with appropriate support personnel. Installs, configures and troubleshoots complex system(s), server(s) and network issues. Installs software, provides appropriate training on network/software and resolves complex performance issues. Writes and edits technical specifications and documentation for user back-up. Develops and conducts training programs to educate client's users regarding specialized and complex applications. Performs server hardware and software maintenance. Maintains passwords, data integrity and file system security for assigned environments. Responds to systems and/or software concerns and issues. Interacts with security personnel as appropriate. Provides high level technical problem-solving support to internal/external client employee(s) and for less experienced personnel. Documents problems, analyzes and resolves issues. Researches and recommends new technology/updates to management. Acts as technical expert in conjunction with business development efforts in the development of information technology and infrastructure projects and new business. Provides leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, business administration or related field preferred Six or more years of experience in hardware implementation, desktop systems or applications support Experience working with information technology applications and systems Experience working with client server implementations Experience working with internet/intranet applications such as MIIS, Apache, Internet Explorer, Netscape, etc. Experience working with software products including operating systems, network based systems, etc Other Qualifications Strong interpersonal skills to interact with clients from a business development and technical expert perspective Strong analytical and problem solving skills Strong human relations skills to provide leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel Willingness to travel Remote Work Location Authorized:No Relocation Assistance:Not AvailableClearance Level:Secret Create Success
