Qualified candidates are needed for an immediate job opportunity as a Systems Integration Specialist in Phoenix, AZ (responsibilities & requirements are listed below).
Job Responsibilities:
Tuning the architecture of TSM, IBM Libraries and host Operating Systems. Troubleshoot TSM application issues as well as issues with backups and/or restores. Manage problems assigned to the team via our Problem Management tool. Perform installations and upgrades of backup systems including hardware and OS. Provide backup system data statistics to management and other team members. Perform periodic restores of systems as requested by end users and other team members. Ensure data/media recoverability by implementing a schedule of system backups and/or archive operations. Develops and promotes standard operating procedures, document the environment and procedures as they change. Perform daily monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Backups on Windows and UNIX servers.
Provide support for database administrators, application and interface analysts, and other system administrators.
Analyze backup requests and design appropriate solutions to meet client needs and monitoring of scheduled backups to ensure success or take remedial action for failures.
Required Skills & Roles:
- 4+ years of experience with Tivoli Storage Manager.
- 4+ years of Windows Operating System (Windows 2000, 2003, XP) experience.
- 4+ years of AIX/Sun Solaris experience.
- Competent to work at the highest level of all phases of system administration.
Desired Skills:
- 2+ years of Linux Administration.
- 2+ years of Windows Administration.
- 2+ years of HP-UX Administration.
Minimum Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
Minimum Certifications or Other Professional Credentials:
TSM certification desired.
