POSITION 
SUMMARY:

Under limited supervision, the person filling this position will work in a strong team environment to provide systems management of enterprise level UNIX servers across multiple platforms of Linux, Aix, Sun and OSX operating systems. In depth knowledge of Unix Systems Management is required. For this position, emphasis will be on enterprise systems management of Unix servers, advanced knowledge of Apache and Tomcat tuning and security, and enterprise systems administration of large, complex Unix eMail and calendar suites; Systems Management Knowledge and experience with server side framework development tools, VMware ESX systems, Luminis portal, Unix Ldap and Identity management development desirable. Job duties and responsibilities will include budget planning, system design, integration, development, maintenance, continuity and integrity of Unix servers and integrated systems. Participate in 24 hour on call rotation supporting all servers and services with periodic weekend and off hours work.



MINIMUM 
QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree; at least 4 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

OR

Successful completion of at least 60 college-level credit hours; at least 6 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in Unix Systems management and administration of more than 50 unix based servers Enterprise systems management of Unix based email and Calendar collaborative suites Enterprise VMware ESX systems administration Advanced Apache and Tomcat security and performance tuning Luminis Portal Systems Management Unix Identity Management development and integration Systems administration and integration with Banner applications and Oracle databases
