Summary:

The Systems Support Analyst functions as a key team member of the Help Desk Services group in a customer service driven environment focused on resolving first tier technical problems. This role requires excellent customer service and technical support skills as well as the ability to adapt to a dynamic, fast paced environment in providing quality results.  This position will focus primarily on the company’s e-based applications for the external clientele base as well as internal IT Helpdesk client requests. Our desktop environment is Windows XP utilizing Office2003. Our network environment is mixed Windows 2000/2003 Server with web servers, SQL servers and custom applications. 

Responsibilities: Triage, resolve or escalate incoming phone and email support requests from internal and external clients.Triage, resolve, or escalate helpdesk requests via ticket tracking softwareProvide training and technical support to external and internal clients.Provide support in various LIS applications and third party applications.Provide administrative support in account setups, ticket logging and software library management.Provide support in processing purchase orders, system setups and maintain IT inventory.Provide support to sales staff and client advocate group in processing requests related to user and system setups.Communicate and work with other departments to resolve issues that adversely affect client or internal workflows.Participate in a pool of employees who support on-call services for the business

 

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in CS, CIS or MIS.At least 2-3 years experience in a Customer Service orientedAt least 2-3 years experience in an IT Help Desk or IT support organizationDemonstrated experience with Windows 2000/XP, IE and MS Office 2003/2007.Solid customer service skills Excel at problem solving / analytical skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent organizational and time management skills Must be able to work in a team environment Ability to work extended hours or weekends when requiredStanding, sitting, walking, bending, reaching and manual manipulation and lifting up to 10 -25 pounds.Experience in a lab environment or LIS a plus Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesStrong client communication skills – experience working with client over the phone to help educate and solve their issues.Strong analytical, decision-making and problem solving skills and abilitiesAbility to define problems, document and establish facts to draw valid conclusions. Strong communication and client relationship skills.  Ability to adjust communication to fit audienceAbility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environmentKnowledge of PC Systems, databases, standard applications and networkingAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers and employees, along with working with external clients, or customersAbility to maintain own work flow and meet deadlinesAbility to build rapport Ability to diffuse high tension situations comfortablyAbility to learn quicklyEligible to work in the US for any employerThrive on opportunity to excelMust be very detail oriented and accommodate flexible schedules.Maintains a clean, neat and orderly work area.Speaks and writes fluent English.  Ability to communicate, both verbal and written, in other languages a plus.
