System SW Architect

As the System SW architect you will have the following be responsibilities: 

1.  Overall ownership of the System Software architecture 

2.  Delivery of the SW architecture specification of the system level product 

3.  Leading architectural forum whose charter would be to review design work of the technical team and guiding the technical team as needed 

4.  Delivery of technical roadmap and next gen product architecture 

5.  Responsible for developing and presenting architectural and technical content for customer and partner engagements and for public events 

6.  System SW architecture will comprise: 

a. MR IOV PCIe based IO sharing for Ethernet, Fiber Channel and SAS/SATA cards across servers in a rack and blade servers.

b. Manageability of the system including enclosure management and system maintenance 

c. Scalability, Reliability and availability support 

d. Interoperability with servers running VMMs s.a. VMWare, XenSource and HyperV on Windows, Linux and other Unix Oss. 

7.  Need to develop prototype SW as needed. Need to mentor junior engineers.

 

Qualifications

10+ years experience in SW architecture and SW development for system level products. Architectural experience dealing with one or more of following: PCI/PCIe, PCIe IO virtualization, Server IO technologies: Ethernet, Fiber Channel and SAS/SATA, Server Virtualization: VMWare etc is required. Understanding of system management technologies s.a. IPMI, CIM, SNMP is required. Experience in developing technology roadmap is required. Ability to develop and deliver succinct technical presentations is required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Experience working with standards bodies is desired. Experience in software development under Linux and Windows is required.
