Belvoir, VA to support a large DoD installation. Immediate opening for a Windows System Administrator with DMZ experience. **Candidate must be a U.S. citizen and have an active DoD Secret Clearance at time of employment (Must be able to get an IT I, which requires a Single Scope Background Check (SSBI))** Qualified candidates should have at least seven years of IT experience and strong Windows Server skills to include administering Web servers in a production environment. Candidates should have MCSE on Windows Server 2003 and the ability to work within a security infrastructure, PKI, SSL and firewalls, including an understanding of DoD security policies. Specific experience in the setup and management of Windows in the DMZ. Essential Job Functions Manages the web site and server to ensure an accurate and consistent presence on the internet. Creates and maintains tools used for various data bases. Answers emails directed to the Windows SA to ensure timely response and communication to users. Coordinates with client management to formulate complex technical solutions. Informs client management of appropriate developments in technical support products. Evaluates products and upgrades for appropriateness. Oversees and implements system upgrade strategies. Leads the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex solutions. Coordinates activities with other technical personnel as appropriate. Develops strategies to manage the frequency of appropriate support package/patch application. Monitors database maintenance and provides appropriate recommendations, when required. Researches current systems technology and serves as subject matter expert on complex systems processes and procedures. Highly desired QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and seven years of related IT experience (server administration or web programming) or eleven years related IT experience in lieu of degree. Seven or more years of technical experiences in a client-server environment Two years of recent experience as Windows Server 2003 systems administrator within the last four years and have worked with .Net Framework 2.0Two years installing, configuring or maintaining web applicationsExperience with .Net, ASP and ActiveX Experience administering Active Directory and LDAP services Direct experience in the set up and management of Windows servers in the DMZ. Strong understanding and hands on experience working with IIS 6.0 Experience with MS SQL Server and other Enterprise class Databases Other Qualifications Strong analytical and problem solving skills Leadership skills to guide and mentor the work of less experienced personnel Strong communication skills Strong personal computer and business solutions software skills Good ability to lead and work as part of a team Applicants must be a US Citizen; Applicants must possess at least a DoD Secret clearance at the time of employment. Applicants with a valid DoD Top Secret Security Clearance preferred. Candidates who do not possess a Top Secret clearance will be considered, but must be able to undergo a federal government background investigation to obtain a Top Secret Security Clearance.
