The System Administration role requires a technical person who has in-depth knowledge of the setup, operation, and maintenance of Windows based servers, workstations, and peripherals, Red Hat Linux, and UNIX (preferably AIX) servers. Experience in using system administration, network diagnostic, and performance monitoring tools and be able to use these tools to solve problems. A creative thinker and able to solve complex problems related to distributed systems with little or no direction. Overall role requires a min. of 7 years of experience and a Bachelors degree in a technical or mathematics field or equivalent years of experience. In depth knowledge and 5 years experience working with; · System Development Lifecycle · System and network architectures · LAN/WAN hardware and software, client-server, high transaction/high availability configurations, security devices and applications, network management and monitoring tools, Windows, UNIX, and Linux operating systems, Database Management Systems and Structured Query Language, and O&M tools and approaches for implementing efficient support. Possess excellent system administration skills Possess technical expertise in related areas and display the ability to learn and grow with the program Possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to work well with people of various backgrounds and skill levels.   The Jr. Oracle DBA functions will include the following; provide assistance with managing logins, install/patch, troubleshoot connectivity issues and other problems, monitor performance and tune when necessary, automation through scripting, modifying database structures to ensure performance and data integrity, and perform backup and restore of databases.
