Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Title: Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer  Job Code: RFCD06081038 Job Description: Manage the supply chain within a given commodity to reduce cycle time and variability, increase reliability, on-time delivery, improve cost performance, and provide end-to-end visibility and control to the entire supply chain utilizing Quality Engineering principles. Focus is on problem prevention, supplier quality control, continuous improvement, data collection and reporting, along with Supplier Corrective and Preventative Action related to material quality issues. Support Commodity Management with additional Supplier Selection and Qualification as business dictates. Facilitate Part/Process Qualification within Supplier facility. Perform Bill of Material reviews to identify potential risk within given Harris RFCD products. Create First Article Acceptance Plans and methods. Manage Material Inspection Plans and methods on production material. Provide leadership in technical problem resolution. Support the identification and qualification of new materials to meet business & performance challenge, e.g., lower cost, high frequency, lead-free, etc. Work with engineering, suppliers, and manufacturing to ensure a smooth transition from concept to prototype to production for new products. Support domestic and global out-source activities as business dictates  Qualifications: BSEE/BSET degree with 5 years experience working within OEM/OCF Commodities. Masters degree in business management or a technical area is preferred. Ability to obtain security clearance. Requires experience with supplier evaluation and qualification. Position requires experience in statistical process control, Failure Modes & Effects Analysis, Measurement System Analysis, Process Capability Studies, Corrective & Preventive Action, Root Cause Analysis. Preferred Additional Skills:  Communications (RF) Product experience is a plus. Risk Analysis experience is a plus.
