Subject Matter Expert
DSD Laboratories has exciting work for a Subject Matter Expert in Bedford MA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing all functional areas of the Air Force Net-Enabled Command Capability (NECC) Program (formerly known as the Joint Command and Control (JC2) program). Manage relationships with NECC Joint Program Management Office related to the acquisition and programmatic requirements
Review and coordinate NECC CDD to ensure AF equities are addressed
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide acquisition and project management support to the AF NECC CPMO
Represent the AF CPMO/lead certain NECC Working Group meetings (Acquisition, Cost, JEFX, ECM and others) and other NECC program meetings
Represent AF NECC CPM/DCPM at senior level meetings with JPEO, OSD, Air staff and/or Electronic Systems Center
Coordinate NECC issues with various AF organizations
Develop, review and coordinate various inputs to required Milestone documents
Prepare and coordinate AF positions on CPMO planning and organizational options
Provide logistic and administrative support for scheduled NECC meetings and discussions
Develop NECC briefings to inform/update Senior AF leadership on key NECC decisions and developments
Participate in Program Control, Acquisition, Resource, ECM and other NECC Working Groups
Includes coordination with multiple USAF and Joint Service program offices at geographically diverse locations
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Degree Requirements: Bachelors
Preferred: Masters.
Type Degree. Technical Degree Preferred.
Relevant Experience:
Ten years experience with a minimum of seven years experience on DoD or Air Force acquisition programs. Management experience with information technology systems, and familiarity with DoD acquisition, activities and processes with command and control systems and net-centric operations. Experience with DoD Contractor tasking, progress reviews, and management. Working knowledge of related disciplines in Systems Program Office environment. Demonstrated ability to provide guidance and direction, to identify key objectives and priorities, to define scope, plan of action, resources, and capability to achieve mission requirements. Must have strong analytical and communication skills, a positive attitude, ability to work well with others and flexibility to changing workloads. Individual must possess strong written and verbal skills, as well as having a strong leadership ability and work independently without supervision. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (to include Microsoft Project).
Some travel may be required.
