Primary Responsibilities:

 

· Member of MIS team dedicated to supporting the technical systems and operations for the company.

· Provide remote and over-the-phone support of MIS systems installed throughout the store chain.

· Support of hardware including POS Registers, PCs, RF Networks, Laser Printers, Cisco Routers and switches, Thin Clients, and MS 2003 Servers.

· Support of industry standard and proprietary software including XP & 2003 O/S, .NET Internet-based and AS400-based applications, and Point Of Sale Systems.

· Interact with service vendors in the diagnosis, repair, and replacement of hardware.

· Communicate with internal operation departments in dealing with non-technical issues.

· Participate in the pilot, rollout, and support of new hardware and software installations.

 

 

Qualifications:



· Knowledge of PC hardware and basic networking systems. 

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Intermediate knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel.  HTML knowledge a plus.

· Ability to apply logic-based problem solving techniques to real-world issues and challenges.

· Ability to communicate over the phone with Stores and vendors in a professional manner.

· Ability to manage multiple assignments and problems simultaneously using time management techniques.

· Degree or Technical Certification in a related field. A+, Network+, or MCP a plus.· Available to provide coverage for all shifts including: days, evenings, and some weekends and/or holidays.
