We have an immediate opening for a Storage Services Specialist. This is a 6 Month Contract-to-Hire position, located in Plano, TX.

Job Description:

This candidate will demonstrate proficiency in researching, analyzing, planning, designing, installing and maintaining SAN and NAS systems.  This candidate will develop proposals or recommendations for storage service capabilities as a result of collecting, assembling and analyzing data, preparing reports and monitoring progress of projects assigned to them.  This candidate is capable of developing complex technology solutions including time estimates, cost estimates, and performance estimates and will review design proposals for feasibility. The candidate should be knowledgeable of storage solutions from multiple vendors such as IBM, EMC, NetApp, HDS, Brocade and Cisco and have experience in installing and maintaining same.  This candidate will follow standard operating processes for storage support and develop new policies where needed.

 

The candidate will write technical documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences and may be required to author and distribute Technology White Papers. This candidate should have experience mentoring more junior team members. 1-3 years of technical project leadership is required.

Education and Experience

· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

 

Required Skills:

· Technical Experience:  >10 years

· Functional Experience: 5 years +

 

Certifications:

· ITIL Foundation

· Storage Industry certification on EMC, IBM or NetApp infrastructure.  One such example would be EMC Proven Professional Program, Associate level certification for Storage Administrators in more than 1 specialty.  Vendor certification will be determined by the job function being performed.
